Minnesota MYTH

I had the privilege of designing a one-of-a-kind logo for the Minnesota MYTH, a pioneering addition to the Professional Arena Football League (AFL). Commissioned by Diana Hutton, the trailblazing Latina owner of the team, I embarked on a journey to create a symbol as distinctive as her vision.

Drawing inspiration from Minnesota's rich cultural tapestry and Norse mythology, particularly the legendary Fenrir, I envisioned the MYTH's logo to embody the spirit of resilience, strength, and mystique. In weaving together elements of Minnesota culture and Latin American heritage, I crafted an Alebrije-inspired mythical creature—a symbolic representation of the team's indomitable spirit and unique identity.

The result is a fusion of tradition and innovation, a visual testament to the MYTH's commitment to breaking barriers and forging new paths in professional football.

Designing a package isn’t as simple as it looks. In fact, a package should look completely natural. As though it was created at the same moment in time that the product it encases was created. But of course, this isn’t the way things happen. The product inevitably comes first and the packaging follows. All packaging designs start with an idea. This is translated into a 2D design, which is then adapted to a 3D structure. In addition to decided how a design should be adapted to the package, issues such as color, weight, shape, material and more also come into play.
